Ritvik Sahajpal Assistant Research Professor, University of Maryland College Park @ritviksahajpal Dr. Ritvik Sahajpal is an Assistant Research Professor at University of Maryland’s Department of Geographical Sciences. He has a background in computer science, ecosystem modeling and applying machine learning techniques to solve pressing environmental issues. In his time at UMD, he has developed an operational machine-learning based global crop condition and yield forecasting system using remote sensing inputs, produced a global crop phenology dataset, and incorporated crop rotation estimates in a global land-use model. Dr. Sahajpal has an M.S. and PhD in Geographical Sciences from the University of Maryland. View all speakers
